Tarakan,Harnasnews.Com  – Pemerintah Malaysia mulai bulan Juni 2018 berencana untuk melarang kapal-kapal kayu menuju Tawau. Sementara itu banyak komoditi asal Indonesia dari Tarakan dan Nunukan yang dibeli oleh Filipina via Tawau. Karenanya kapal-kapal kayu tersebut didorong untuk langsung melakukan perdagangan ke Filipina, tidak perlu melalui Tawau, Malaysia.
